Phill and Christy had the family to their house

and they cooked ribs, pasta salad, grilled veggies,

topped off with carrot cake. What a delicious meal

with special people. What fun!

weekend to remember

weekends are wonderful

We have had a full, but great weekend!

There are signs around our house that we have "a special someone" here.......

Hannah's home!

Hannah has finished up her junior year at JMU.

She is home for the summer and will be working at Fairfax Hospital in labor and delivery.

We sat on the deck Friday evening.....Alden, Steve, Hannah and I .....

catching up....as the sun set, the stars came out,

candles were lit and we just enjoyed being together. Welcome home Hannah!

Saturday we rode bikes, bought flowers at the nursery, and took up a stump in the front yard (that was some hard, yet creative work ~ good job guys!) and went out to dinner.

What a fun Mother's Day we had ~ I feel very special and love my role as Mom. Thanks for a great day. :) Bailey was dedicated at church today, so Courtney and Pat had both families (Smiths and Cassadas) over for a delicious breakfast (scrambled eggs, chocolate chip scones, fruit, bacon, juice) before the service. We enjoyed the relaxing time to visit and get caught up. Bailey's service was special. What a fun day being together!

The day ended with a relaxed dinner at home. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....lovely day.

This is a new experience for us ~ to blog. We have so enjoyed staying in touch with people by this "new to us" blogging, so here we go with ours and look forward to staying in touch with you.

What a fun weekend we have had with Courtney and Pat's kids....our grandkids....Rebekah, Joshua and Bailey! Courtney and Pat wanted some "couple time", so ah shucks, we got to have the kids. :) The pictures below will tell the story.

While we're posting...........we can't leave out our other two granddaughters' (Brittany and Andrea) visit a while back! Phill and Christy had a gala at their work and we enjoyed the girls overnight.
