Happy Birthday Phill

May 27th was a special day indeed... 35 years ago!

Our firstborn son arrived ~ Phillip Alden! 

 

Phill is tall and handsome, has a quiet, but sincere personality,

loves sports and FUN, is a hands on guy ~ can do any task needed with expertise,

has the best laugh and is kind to all who come across his path.

We call him our very own event planner!

 



He is a wonderful husband ~

and Brittany.

What fun he was as a boy ~

had a paper route which he took very seriously and did it well.

Phill has learned how to be a hands on man ~ just like his dad.

 

 

He's a hard worker and soooooo very good at it.

He knows how to fun!!!!!!

His mama kinda appreciates him {alot!}and loves him dearly.

 He is loved by his family ~ a ton!

Mother's Day: Remembering My Mom ~ Thankful to BE a Mom

 

 

This dear woman ~ Roselavone......my mom

 

 

She was a beautiful woman.

 

One of 4 kids ~ the only girl, yep she had 3 brothers.

She enjoyed military life, loved tennis and golf, needlepointing ~

was a good wife and mom.

 

I only wish I could have had her in my life a bit longer.

I'd love to just sit and chat with her...to talk with her now that I'm older

and appreciate all that she lived.

 

I thank her for her dedication to us girls ~ to her family.

She was a strong woman.  She had a beautiful smile.

She and my dad had an amazing relationship.

I love you Mom.

And these kids ~ oh my....

what a treasure they are in my life.

Thank YOU, each of you, for making me a mom.

I treasure my role as mom ~ the GREATEST job I will ever have.

The JOY of my life.

 

Just yesterday right?!?

I remember it like yesterday!!!!!!

Precious then....and precious now.

 

And of course, the kids' spouses have added yet another aspect of mothering.

I cherish those relationships so much.

They make life richer yet.

 

Special women in my life ~ blessed beyond measure.

Alden's mom was a TRUE blessing in my life.  She taught me so much

about loving and giving (and cooking that good ole southern cooking). 

She was a gentle and wise woman.
