Wednesdays ~ special

Wednesdays are so special in my week and life. I do work, but I have Wednesdays off. For years I have spent the day or part of the day with Courtney. We do a myriad of things.......sit and visit, walk, go to lunch, run errands together, appointments are gone to......but whatever it is we usually just enjoy time together at her house getting caught up with each other (usually amidst puzzles being put together, racing cars, coloring, holding baby dolls, singing, reading books :).

Christy is now home on maternity leave taking care of Ayden. Thus.....you guessed it.....I also spend time with she and Ayden! We love our time together getting caught up.

Of course, I LOVE spending time with the grandkids!!!!!!!!

Family Gathering ~ Birthday Celebrations

Nothing fills us up more than having our whole family together. :)

Last night we gathered to celebrate the recent birthdays and what fun we had.

We are trying something new ~ our family is growing in numbers by leaps and bounds,

so we are individually celebrating the kids b'days,but celebrating the adults monthly. Last night we honored Christy, Joshua and myself.

By the pictures, you would think we had a grandkid gathering.....but really we were all there!

Birthday wishes to our dear daughter-in-law Christy.

Her birthday was yesterday ~ February 13.

She blesses our family with exuberance for life!

We love you Christy.

Our family has a favorite cake.....yellow cake with chocolate icing.

The amazing thing is it is 10 layers!!!!!!!!

We fell in love with this cake from Alden's home town and those great southerners.

We occasionally attempt to make one.....Phill did one FANTASTIC job for Christy's birthday. WOW and YUM!

Phill, you might need to go into business with this creation. :)We knew you'd want to see little Ayden! :) And.......Andrea's great work on her Science Fair project that she got an A on this week!Congratulations Andrea!
