his stories that reach your heart

He has written a song and visited with military people

He has been used by God.....with his talent of music.

Fantastic Weekend

Alden and I are often quite busy on weekends.

We had one of those weekends where we ordered

the moments in the day.

Sheer joy and contentment we feel this Sunday evening. :)

Saturday night we went out..... with Alden's work friends ~

thus "cowboy Alden" (theme of the night was Texas!)

What a great time we had with good friends.

Isn't my man handsome????!!!!!!

We spent a lot of time outdoors ~

The weekend started with Hannah coming over Friday evening ~

Alden, Steve, Hannah and I just spent the evening together here at home.

Lovely. Just lovely. (sorry no pictures)

Saturday morning Alden and I went to breakfast at our

favorite place (yep omelet and french toast)

We've been wanting to plant flowers for a few weeks and

finally got the opportunity.

The weather was beautiful.

Off to the nursery we went.......

and home to get them planted ~ :)

the weekend weather was actually some "of everything"

We had gorgeous sun and low humidity, thunderstorms,

cloudy and threatening moments.

Our hydrangeas are looking good ~

soon there will be gorgeous colorful blossoms ~ one of my favorite flowers!

flowers and vegetables

birds were happily chirping all weekend~

we love watching the birds come to the feeder

Went to church, ran some errands and ended the

weekend grilling chicken and enjoying the evening together.

Here comes Monday, but we are all filled up!

Thankful for simple days ~ together.
