What a wonderful day ~
Remember the cozy table?
Family room all ready for the day......
The house filled up ~
and the table was full of special people and delicious food!
If you were here you would see this laptop around ~
with skype open.......
So Hannah could "JOIN" us from Argentina!!!!!
It was so good to SEE her and get to visit!
Rebekah and Levi
turkey being carved
gravy being made
Little guys having some fun!
We have a Thanksgiving tradition of a game called
"Mr. Wright".
Someone creates a story of our year ~ our family story.
In the story there are "rights and lefts" in it.
We then each have a bag.....the story is read out loud and
we pass the bags to the right and left as we hear those words.
Alden had the pleasure of writing it this year.
We played it with Hannah (from afar) !!!!!!
She loved being a part of it.
One bag has a special something in it
(usually a gift card)....
Courtney was the winner this year!!!!
Way to go Courtney!
After eating ~ we took a walk
Some walked, Rebekah and Andrea rode bikes.
They guys threw the football
Christy brought a craft for the kids to do ~
They decorated a pinecone.....as a Christmas tree ornmanet.
Thanks Christy!!!!
Ornaments and kid party bags
The ladies opened ornaments from each other
Football was watched.
(Pat......Go Dallas?????)
Joshua is right in there with the football!!!!!
The "brothers".
The kids got to play their game ~
Much picture taking ~
Visiting ~
Kids playing
And of course, dessert to be had to top the day off.
Our favorites ~ pumpkin, pecan and apple
Most of us had a little slivers of EACH! :)
Mince Pie ~ only I like ~
in memory of my Dad. He loved it!!!!!
Christmas cookies enjoyed by all.
We had been watching it for quite some time ~
the bud stayed tight....
but opened beautifully this morning!
We certainly enjoyed our Thanksgiving ~
mostly the time spent together.
Full stomachs..........AND full hearts.
Thankful. Yes, very thankful for all of God's blessings
in our lives.
