Immanuel Christian School ~ blessed with Lincoln and Levi

Courtney took Sawyer out on a "date" ~

Thus, I got to have Lincoln and Levi ~
and what did we do?
{Sorry for the blurry pic ~ ya know, asking a stranger to take our picture!}

We headed to my school ~ where I work.
These people have prayed for these two boys for years ~
and have been SUCH an encouragement to Courtney and I (and our families).

Mary Sue, Brenda and Gail

Lincoln sitting in Grandma's chair.  :)

Lincoln LOVED being in the Kindergarten room ~
with Eleane ~ who loves these boys like her own!

Laura pulled down Mr. Danish's "Noah's Ark and animals".
Oh my, WHAT fun they had.  Thanks Laura!

Donna enjoying them ~

Mary Jo

Susan loving on them!

Maribeth and Kara swooped them up with joy and gladness!
Oh yes, what a pleasure to wisk these two boys through these hallways ~
my heart sung with gladness to God for all He has done for these boys.....
and through the hearts of these many caring people.

And of course, we ended our time at McDonald's with happy meals!
A GREAT day!
{and Courtney and Sawyer had a sweet time too!}

Amazing Lady

Nita ~
Please pray for our dear friend,
who is losing her courageous battle with cancer.
AND....her dear husband Bart.

There are certain people in our lives who touch
us profoundly.
Nita is one of those people.
Father God, hold her tightly in your loving arms......
as you carry her home to YOU.

New York City ...for a wedding!!!!!!

We left DC over the weekend.......
for New York City!

to celebrate the wedding of Rob and Jaime.

Rob is the son of dear longtime friends ~ Donna and Rick.
You all know this group of friends as our "old neighborhood friends".
These friends are like family to us  ~
and it was simply a PLEASURE to enjoy this time together.
Mother of the groom, Donna, is front and center in the blue dress!
Isn't she beautiful!
We went to Rosslyn.....
to meet our way up to NYC.....on the Vamoose Bus.
Our first time trying this.

We LOVED it.  Comfortable tour bus with WiFi and electrical outlets
for say......phone charger!
We arrived in NYC.....

Got off the bus at Penn Station at Madison Square Garden.

Our mode of transportation while in the City was the subway.

 We checked out Times Square.

ABC Studio

Rockefeller Plaza

NBC Studio

Our hotel and wedding venue were in Brooklyn.

We made our way to Ground Zero.

You can see the fountain in the background.
The white building is the museum where the
items are from 9/11.

Saturday night we headed to the wedding

to an amazing venue ~
an old bank building built in the 1920's.
It was used as a bank up until 7 years ago.

The vault in the basement is where the ceremony took place.
Yep, we walked through the vault doors.

Rob, the groom
with parents, Rick and Donna.

It was a Jewish wedding ~
ceremony under the Chuppah (hoopa)

The 7 circles of the bride and groom.
Yes, they walk around each other 7 times each.

Rob and Jaime with both sets of parents.

The reception was up stairs ~ in the actual cathdral type room where the
teller windows (notice on the left side) and desks (center of room) were for the bank patrons.
Of course, now it set up as a party!!!!

Notice the beautiful floors.

We ate here in the BIG room and if you notice off to the left ~
the dance area was curtained off.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner ~

Rob and Jaime doing the Mezinke Dance ~ to
Hava Nagila Music.
Yes, they are lifted in chairs .....

while dancing is going on around them.

Rick and Donna also being lifted up!!!

Mike, Rob's brother.

Mike and his girlfriend dancing ~

And of course, us ladies dancing the night away!!!!!!

and having SO much fun!!!!!!

Rob and Jaime surprised us all ~
by joining the band......

and singing "Crazy in Love" (Beyonce)
So fun!!!!!
