With SUCH a big smile......do I write this post!!!
I LoVe SNOW and have just SO enjoyed this snowy winter.
This picture is from this morning .......the sunny, clear morning....... after a snow day yesterday!
There's just something very special about snow-covered land. To look outside....
and see WHITE. It's so refreshing.....and cozy.
The Bible speaks of snow:
Psalms 51:7 - Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
We have had LOTS of snow this year!
It's been a COLD winter (thank you Polar Vortex), thus when the precip came....it was often SNOW!
I especially loved the BIG storm ~ the 14" storm.
It fell mostly in the night.......this was about half-way through the storm. WOW!
As I opened our front door storm door......this was already the case!
I LOVE {watching} the snow fall.......so I got up in the middle of the night to enjoy it.
It was SOOOOOO pretty!
This is what it looked like the next morning.....in the light of day!!!!!!!
You can see the snow up to the rail on the fence.
And the digging out begins......
We are so grateful to our neighbor Ruth who purchased a snow blower years ago....
and kindly lets us use it!
Alden always helps out all the neighbors.

Alden and I actually left town shortly after the storm hit......
And spent Valentine's Day at the BEACH!
{Um.....Alden tried to get me to leave BEFORE the storm......but uh...no WAY...
I wanted to experience the BIG SNOW!!!!}
We did so enjoy the warmer temps and beautiful BEACH sights!
In between snow storms.....Alden did get to go out and tend to the grass a bit.
He loved it!
It's been fun to watch the daffodils.......
they came up right on time.....
and have been covered in snow quite often (picture this morning!)
God's creation is amazing isn't it?! He made them to be snowed on and STILL produce
beautiful flowers. A picture of LIFE.....weathering the storms.
And oh my..............have we had THE MOST MAGNIFICENT
sunsets this winter!!!!!!!
We got 3 snow storms in the last week and a half!!!!!!!
Two that didn't amount to much ~ but oh my beautiful as the snow fell.
Yesterday we got yet another pretty good storm ~ 6-8 inches.
The men in our neighborhood are AMAZING. They are quite the team in
digging out the neighbors. So much easier and lots more FUN doing it together!
The past few days the birds have been flittering about!!!!!
Soooooooooooooooooo beautiful!!!!!
They know SPRING is just around the corner now!
The sunset last night......
AND there are the buds on the trees.........
HOPE that spring is soon to be here.
Thank you God for this wonderful snowy winter....
and for that matter....
that we get all 4 seasons here in Virginia.
{Side note: I know it is not quite so WONDERFUL for the families
with young kids......QUITE a bit more complicated.}
Thankful.....with a GREAT big smile.
