He loves his Lord, his family, friends.

He serves, and serves, and serves.
When I was looking for pictures to put on this blog
in honor of him,
all the pictures were of him tending to some person or event.

Cherry Blossoms 2014

This was quite possibly the most magnificent we've seen the Cherry Blossoms!

They blooms were luscious.

The evening sun made the trees shine with beauty!

Each and every tree was full and beautiful!

Yep, there was a TON of people ~ maybe the MOST we've seen as well.

We found our usual parking spot along the river ~

And made our way around the Tidal Basin.

We simply had to stop and take in the sight time and time again.

 As the sun set......the sky and trees were just beautiful.

We headed to the car as the sun was setting.

What a wonderful evening.....taking in yet again God's beautiful handiwork.

Happy Birthday Courtney

 Courtney ~ our firstborn child ~ who was born at 7:02 a.m. on Easter morning ~ 

brings JOY to the world!

 

Oh what a pleasure to wish Courtney a happy happy wonderful birthday!

She and I had a fun mother/daughter lunch today to celebrate her birthday.

What a treat it was!!!!!  It was calm and quiet......we got to finish our conversations,

and just enjoy each other.

A gift in itself.  

As you know, Courtney is a healthy eater ~ and is also not doing sweets during Lent.

Thus ~ this was her "cake": avocado with mango salsa! 

She loved it!  

 

Courtney is one amazing lady ~

she is of course beautiful inside and outside,

she is intentional with the moments of every day,

she loves her Lord,

her husband and kids, and friends {and of course family!}.

She cares about others. 

 

She can be silly too!



 

An avid runner ~ I love thinking back when she decided to start running....

and could barely go a block.  Wow did she nail this running thing!

She's a great wife and mom ~ beautiful family ~ each and every one.

Courtney was a 2nd grade teacher before becoming a mom.

She loved teaching....but put it aside to start having children.

 

What a great mom she is!

She was the cutest little girl ~

a great way to start our family!!!!!!!
