Family Birthday Gathering

With all the birthdays we have in our family, we usually try to combine b'day celebrations by month or even two month gatherings. We had the March b'days celebrated today.....

at Fuddruckers.

Lovely ~ Almost Spring ~ Day

Oh yes, Spring is in the air and wow it is beautiful!!!!!

the daffodils in our front yard are just about to blossom! Hannah and I met up downtown at one of our favorite spots......on the Potomac.

enjoyed the sunshine, each other and some delicious Panera teas

Won't be long and the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom ~ one of the blessings of this area ~ gorgeous Springs!

Celebrating Wendy and Drew

This weekend's highlight was attending a bridal shower to honor a very special lady in our life ~

Wendy, who is marrying a most wonderful man ~ Drew.

We have known Wendy's parents, Buddy and Penny, since early married life (before kids.....well, their oldest son was a toddler when we met them) ~ in the early days of AF life for us both. We in essence grew up together ~ in our adult lives. We are so happy for Wendy and Drew ~ as they begin their life ~ together....as husband and wife (out of town wedding in May) Penny and Wendy ~ mother and daughter ~ two very special ladies. We are thankful they have each other. They are both very talented, gracious women ~ wonderful friends to many ~ who daily give testimony to God's faithfulness in their lives. Wendy was kind enough to let "the older ladies ~ friends of Penny's" honor her with this shower. This group of women are very full of life, laughter and wisdom. What a fun time we had! Of course, we enjoyed some delicious food ~ ummm....interesting how I don't have pictures of anything except these fantastic cupcakes. Fom Best Buns ~ those of you from this area know it well.....maker of Ozzie Rolls ~ :)

Spring is showing it's wonderful self

Oh yes, the Northern Virginia area is basking in some sun and warm temps~

Spring is giving us a taste of what is just around the corner. Lots of smiles around!

It was amazing to see the daffodils still doing "ok" once the snow melted....they were just starting to poke through the earth when the BIG SNOW came. Pictures from the beginning of the week Um.....it is for real!!!!!! Just a tad bit of snow left on the deck ~ Cassie enjoying the warmer days as well

I have literally witnessed these daffodils grow this week in the warmth of these days!

Amazing and wonderful

God knew what He was doing with these bulbs....He created them to be Spring bulbs...knowing full well they may be snowed under.....to still bloom once the days are warmer. I so love that!

Good Week

Lots of fun and special occasions this week:

First off ~ Happy 42 Anniversary to my sister Susan and her husband Richard!!!! What a testimony these days....to be married and still best friends after these years.

This couple is special to SO many people. We love you! I met Alden for lunch this week ~ at our most favorite sandwich shop (isn't he handsome?!!!!)

Hannah and I met up for some girl time ~ and chai tea and smoothie!

simply wonderful ~ I love you Hannah. We could talk and talk!!!!! One of my best friend's daughter was in town.....signing her new book.

How WONDERFUL to see Kimberly.

We have had 4 funerals at our church this week.......sad for those of us left, but

oh those people are sitting with Jesus now! We pray for all the families.

Saturday.....we go to a wedding!!!!!! Yay!
