Day Off ~ Fun with Ayden

I got Ayden all to myself today ~

and what a quiet, good day we had.

He was very easy going ~

A favorite of ours ~ with grandkids ~ has been and is to "play with the water in the sink".

always such fun!!!!

The hit of the day

Nothing better than bubbles right?~

Looking outside ~ it was pretty cold.....brrrrr.

rocked a bit

looked outside some more ~ sunny, but STILL cold!

We tried going out in the sunroom,

but......

the bubbles were FROZEN~ oh my!

Stayed a few minutes ~

Brought those toys inside .....

built a tower!

Had some lunch ~

and of course some cookies ~

After nap, we decided to brave the cold.....

and run a bit.

What a fun day .....

Spring?.........and Saturday Night Fun

Our latest snow is melting away slowly but surely ~

seems good to see the "dirt" again....see anything else?

Ahhhhhhh..........the spring bulbs are popping through the dirt!!!!!!! What a fun sight to see ~ daffodils will soon be showing themselves in all their beautiful Spring color! A welcome sight.

Hee hee ~ Alden had just gotten a load of mulch before the snow storm.....

so he spread out the snow this afternoon and put the mulch down.

The azaleas were laden with snow.....and low to the ground.

He said once he got the snow off, the azaleas popped RIGHT up.

Amazing.

Last night Courtney and Pat had the pleasure of going on a date.

Thus......we got to be grandparents to some precious grandchildren :)

We took them to Foster's Grill ~

and they have great kid games!

we THEN headed to McD for ice cream!!!!!! Yum!

Once home.....pj's on ~

we all played some Wii.

We ended the evening watching "Sound of Music".......

before heading to bed.

Great evening ~

It was so funny.......the kids were supposed to be in bed at 9:00 p.m.

We were all on target......but......

got distracted. About 5 til 9:00 I said.....

oh my, mom and dad will be home soon ~

we'd better head on to bed.

We headed upstairs to brush teeth, pray and tuck them in bed.

Well......while brushing their teeth one of the kids heard the garage door go up.......

WOW.....

did we ever move fast! The kids hurried WAY up.....

we did a lot of giggling......

and got them in bed REAL fast.

What a fun time we had ~

such a blessing to spend time together.

Grandparenting is AWESOME!

Once we got downstairs.....we spent two more hours visiting with

Courtney and Pat.

Great evening .....with special people.

Wednesday ~ with young grandkids

What fun can a grandma have?

A bunch of fun!!!!!!

I had a great day with Ayden ~ his sitter is out of town, so Grandma got to enjoy him.

We headed over to Courtney's ~

she had a dr. appt. so me and the three youngest grandkids

spent the morning together ~

When Courtney got home ~

we headed to McD for lunch.

We talked fast and enjoyed our lunch

so we could get Bailey on the bus for school.

Very sweet time with my daughter and these kiddos.

These two are a hoot together ~ we are so glad they have each other..... the youngest of our bunch right now. :) Ayden and I came home ~ got him a nap ....and enjoyed playing together.

I enjoyed some time with Christy too when she came to pick up Ayden.
