We began hearing about the storm a week out. The "storm" was still on the West Coast.
It was an historic storm for sure.
They predicted the amounts ~ which were quite hefty and impressive.
But it wasn't long before the amounts were even HIGHER! It was fun watching the weathermen be AMAZED at what their models were telling them. It just kept getting MORE and MORE.
They did a great job and called it right on.
You all know ~ I always defend the weathermen.
Goodness, who wants to predict the future!
The snow started lightly around 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Plows were staged along all the roads.
Alden and Steve did some shoveling the first night ~ at our house and our neighbor's.
Saturday morning we had about a foot of snow.
There was definitely wind involved, but we had a little spell of calm.
We began to shovel. They predicted about another foot during the day.
As Alden shoveled our across the street neighbor's driveway, another neighbor did ours!
The people on our street are so helpful and kind.
We all just go out and help each other.
It's so heart warming to take it all in.
Lon had the BIGGEST snow blower ~ what a blessing he and IT were!!!!!!
We took a short walk in the neighborhood ~ it was so pretty.
It snowed and the wind blew all.day.long.
It was usually a white out ~
The next morning ~ was absolutely beautiful. The sky was SO blue!
I always love to see and take in the sight before the plows come.
We dug out the cars ~ and had a little driveway of their own.
We leave the cars in the street, otherwise the plows put the snow where we need to park them.
We got our BIG snow!

We're very thankful to God that we didn't lose power this go round.
And of course, we had some snow days. Government and schools closed.
