Summer/Fall Transition

It is real ~
the warmer temps not yet wanting to give it up......
yet Fall has officially begun.
And WOW ~ did we have a HOT, quite miserable day yesterday.
DC set a record ~ 99 degrees!
Our whole area is HOT still at 6:30 p.m. these were the temps.......
It is following a VERY hot summer of 2010
We do have a few signs that Fall is around the corner :)
Fall is such a beautiful time here in Virginia :)
but......the flowers are still blooming
and so beautiful.
We love the Virginia weather ~
we get all 4 seasons.......
and usually they are not extreme.....
even tho 2010 has seen BOTH
extremes in SNOW of winter
and HOT, humid days of summer.
Rain is due tomorrow ~
for quite a few days.
We can use it and it will be wonderful!
It is all in God's hands......
we are thankful.

Wednesday Routine ~ Special

Yep, most of you know my Wednesdays are VERY special to me ~
for one I do NOT work that day (my day off!)....
and every other week I go to Courtney's to "play" and get caught up
with her and her crew.
oh how I LOVE these days ~
I LOVE seeing all the kids.....sitting on the floor playing and listening....
and just taking in all that goes on at the Cassada home........
BUT, I especially LOVE seeing Courtney.
I have always made it a point to hug HER....
and let her know I love HER
in the midst of "little" hugs all around.
I so enjoy the glee that expodes when I arrive......
the faces full of joy to see Grandma.
It simply warms my heart! Yet......the contentment that goes deep..... is connecting with my daughter.... and seeing how she is doing..... being a mom, a wife, a friend.... in these busy, busy days. With the 3 older kids in school this year...... it is MUCH easier to connect with Courtney ~ to get to her heart.... and my heart. Mom to mom ~ mother and daughter....friends...... We GET each other ~ both having 4 kids (for now!!!!!).. and the challenges and JOYS that come with that. We are blessed....with each other. Cassie ~ our 20 year old cat is not feeling well these days. We like resting together.......
sweet
OHHHHH how the flowers have LOVED
our hot and humid summer 2010!
We're still in the midst of 90 degree days....
so they still look GREAT!
Beautiful!
Oh how I love impatiens.
Happy Wednesday! :)
