Remembering Aunt Shelby

Shelby (Alden's mom's sister) passed away Monday morning ~

after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was 74.

Alden and I visited with them not too long ago ~

a special time for us.

Shelby is one of 6 children ~

the youngest of the bunch.

Tuesday night, Alden and I headed down to North Carolina

for the viewing and service.

These are 3 of the siblings ~

Precious, precious people.

Alden and I worked half days Tuesday....

and then headed on down to NC.

This was Alden on the way down....on his cell phone. Tuesday night was the viewing.

Saturday morning we saw Alden's nephew Aaron's new baby He is adorable ~ Cameron

Then Alden headed over to be with his brother Ken ~

Shelby will be missed ~

yet, we know she is in heaven with her Lord

and we'll see again one day. Hope in the midst of "leaving this world".

Before leaving town,

we were able to spend time with Bonnie and Travis

(Alden's cousin's daughter and husband) . What fun we had

catching up with each other. Precious family.

Spring was well into bloom in NC ~

our Spring is just around the corner. We are filled up with love of family ~

and......a bit tired.

A whirlwind of a day and a half....

but we'd have it no other way.
