Wow, January did seem like a blur to me {I had some type of virus for WEEKS...phew it just about wore me down}, and I do feel like I have come out of a fog finally, but I didn't post a single thing ~ that just can't be!
I will attempt to give a quick overview of the beginning of 2013. It's a tad long............
We've had a few snowy days, which we have loved!
A friend of mine just said today, we should title this winter
Winter of the Snow Showers :)
Very true!
I always love to see the daffodils poking out of the snow!!!!
The first weekend in January we headed to
the National Harbor ~
for Alden's work Christmas party.
Everyone first got to go to the ICE SHOW!
We've wanted to do this for years and we were so glad
to see it!
We bundled up...
and enjoyed the sights!
They even had the nativity scene. WOW!
Beautiful.
We watched the sunset...before heading into the Gaylord
where the dinner was.
We so enjoyed seeing friends ~
Alden and Larry
The Gaylord is always beautifully decorated ~
It looks magical doesn't it!
We've taken in some good basketball ~
with some grandkids!
Bailey
Joshua
Rebekah
The spectators!!!!!!
Checking out Joshua's new lego set!
Had some fun McD lunches!
Rebekah had her tonsils and adnoids out ~
she was SUCH a trooper!
Best birthday gift ~ trip to the beach!
The chairs.......on a quiet, winter day at the beach.
Talk about filling a person up with p.e.a.c.e!
Isn't this beautiful!!!!!!!
What a blessing that Alden and I BOTH love the beach....any time of the year!
GREATEST blessing ~ my family!!!!!!
Family gathering for my birthday.........such fun!!!!!!
Still........in my 50's!!!!!!!
Joshua and I blew out the candles....his b'day is SOON!
Courtney made THE cake ~ family favorite recipe from generations before us ~
pound cake
Steve had a show that night ~ his hello!!!!!!
Hannah and John took Joshua away ~
for some time together!
Yep, January has come and gone.....
but with some GREAT memories!
Welcome 2013!!!!!!!!
