4th of July Weekend

 

My family - extended and immediate - LOVE,

let me say again, LOVE tennis. 

 

 

We have fun playing at it, but we LOVE watching the big tournaments.

 

 

I grew up watching tennis with my family ~ GREAT memories.

Wimbledon the past 2 weeks did NOT disappoint.

 

GREAT ~ AWESOME matches.

 

We worked in the yard ~ but cooked out at home on the 4th.  Yum!!!!!!
Then Alden and I decided we HAD to go downtown to see the fireworks.
You can't live in this area and NOT go downtown!!!!!

 



 

We always go down to the river ~ and love doing that.

He and I haven't been feeling great, so we decided to do Plan B.

As we entered the city we noticed people parking RIGHT there on the

interstate.  Cops were around and not making people move.  

Hmmmm........  shall we?

So.....yep, we found our parking spot, headed toward HOME (for the getaway afterwards)

and enjoyed our time.



 

We enjoyed the views.

 

 

 Even.....enjoyed the sunset.

It was fun visiting with people close by ~ everyone was so friendly.

 

The sky got darker....... 

 

And boom ~ there went the fireworks!  GORGEOUS!

 

 

RIGHT as the finale started.......we hopped in the car ~

and 18 minutes later we were in our driveway! 

Pretty cool!

The weather was so pretty ~ Alden worked in the yard ~

and I enjoyed the beauty of it all.
