Country boy meets city girl.....40 years ago

 Alden and I met at North Carolina State University in 1972.

We were both in AF ROTC.

Alden was a part of the christian group, the Navigators.

I got involved as well.

We became friends.  We grew in our relationship with the Lord.

We became good friends ~ got engaged,

 

and married December 29, 1973

at Bolling AFB.

 

 

 Alden was commissioned and entered the Air Force in November of 1973.

We enjoyed the AF life ~ moving every 2-3 years.  

We met so many amazing people ~ we consequently have great friends.

 

 God blessed us ~ with four wonderful kids,
2 great son in laws and a daughter in law.....
and 9 grandkids!

We have experienced much JOY and some sorrow through the years ~

but with God's strength and the encouragement of family and friends,

 

we celebrate this day.....our 40th Anniversary!!!!!

We have had SO much fun through these years ~

 

it's pretty amazing to live life with your very best friend!

Thanking God for this man ~

for the growth individually and together,

and for the blessing of serving Him together.
