Buddy Wood Remembered
Our dear life-long friends, Buddy and Penny Wood,
have been battling a year-long journey with cancer.
Buddy went home to be with his Lord last Wednesday, after his year long battle.
This journey was walked with courage and with their eyes totally on the Lord ~ for His will to be done. They didn't step into this journey with fear, but with the claim that this was God's will for their life. They touched lives of those around them with HOPE and care.
I encourage you to visit the website Buddy had ......journaling this last year.
You will be blessed beyond measure.
Also: go to this website to hear an interview with Buddy and Penny to HEAR their story.
Please be in prayer for this dear family who lost their dear husband and father ~
Penny, Wendy, Wesley, Nicole and grandson Cody

My Birthday ~ Fun Celebration
The best gift a mom can get ~ the family gathered together for a fun dinner together.
What a fun time! This lady is blessed.
Mom and Dad Enjoy a trip to JMU
The time is growing short for Hannah to be at JMU ~ her graduation is coming in May! What a wonderful four years she has had at this college. She will be coming to Northern Virginia for her Capstone (a big clinical done in this area) for her last 6 weeks of this semester. This begins the first of March. She will return to JMU for the last week of the semester for exams. Thus, Alden and I realized we didn't have many more opportunities to visit her on her campus. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with her ~ what a joy she is to us. Enjoy by pictures.

ISAT Building ~ Hannah's nursing classes are in this building;
as well as Intervarsity meets here on Friday evenings. Much of Hannah's life is
spent here. :)

Hearts full of joy and sorrow
Mid-January finds us good. It was so good to hear from so many of you over Christmas. There is nothing better than to feel connected to beloved friends and family.
We have a few things on our hearts right now:
- Heather, our niece, is back to work as of this past Monday. She is working half days. She met with her surgeon last Friday and he freed her to go back to work, exercise, and begin to get back into her regular schedule. We are all rejoicing! Pray for her as she gains her strength back. Isn't that so exciting?!
- We have dear friends, Buddy and Penny, who have been walking through an intense battle with cancer in Buddy over the last year. Please pray for this dear family as Buddy is failing and nearing his final days on this earth. This couple loves the Lord and each other and have assurance that he is about to meet his Master in heaven. Many of you know this family and the pleasure of their company. Many of you might remember Buddy who sang "The Parent's Prayer" at Courtney's wedding. Please pray for them as they walk this road ..........that we will all walk one day. Our hearts are saddened, yet rejoice in the HOPE of eternal life with God in the midst of life's trials.
Thank you God for walking with us through all of life's journeys.

Happy New Year ~ Welcome 2008
Happy New Year to you all ~ dear family and friends. 2008 will be great..........day by day.....and in the palm of God's hand. Thank YOU for making life precious for us.
We got some wonderful news at Christmas..............that Courtney and Pat are expecting their 4th child (mid July). What a wonderful addition to their family this little boy or girl will be.
Tomorrow we are switching from cox (cable) to verizon. I hope it will not interrupt blogging....or emailing. Alden assures me all is well. If we lose contact, hopefully it will be brief. :)
