Sunday night fun~

We.....went to FedEx Field

Sweet Family Friends

Visited us last night ~

what a treat this was for us!!!!!

Steve and Shannon ~ twins.......

wonderful people ~ special friends.

We are dear friends with their parents, Doug and Jan,

whom we met in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 1994.

Our families became close friends then....

and have enjoyed staying in touch through the years.

Doug and Jan Whom we visited with in July in Seattle, WA at their home :)

Shannon and Steve ~ we LOVED our time together!!!!!!

The evening went WAY too fast.

1990 - 2010

Yes, she was 20!

20 years with a cat ~ a pet......

they pretty much become part of your every day life.

It has been tough watching her fail over the last little while

and we're glad she is no longer suffering.

She brought us much peace and fun ~

she was a talker.....had a sweet meow.

She would greet you when you walked in the house.

She had the most beautiful eyes and fur.

She was always tiny.

She was a wonderful addition to our home.

Cassie was the daughter of our other cat ~ Patches.

Patches lived to 20 as well and died only a year and a half ago.

Cassie ~ we will miss you!

Day Together in the Countryside

Saturday ~ after getting some chores done

(Alden outside and Dorian inside)........

We left the neighborhood......

on a pretty warm October day....... and headed to see the trees changing in the countryside. What a beautiful day it was!!!!!!! Alden and I.....together..... enjoying the gorgeous weather and the beauty of the mountains nearby. Do you see the heart rock Alden found? How special! {click on the collage and it will be BIGGER so you can REALLY see all the pictures) We took a little side trip.... tractors sighted! :) :)

We found ourselves nearing Harpers Ferry.......

when we met each other and started to date.

What fun to see it!!!!!!!

We stopped for gas......and......

there was a swarm of "stink bugs".

Ewwwwwwww......

and ewwwwww again.

They were EVERYWHERE.....

flying around, on the cars, on the pumps.....ewwwwww.

We neared the river(s)

So wonderful!

We headed on down to the river.....

to find our spot.....

to enjoy the sound of the river and visit.

Rafts went RIGHT by where we were sitting on this rock. :)

So fun!

We saw the most beautiful heron

Can't you just hear the water? Such a calming sound.

We caught up......

and dreamed.....

and rested.

We stayed til the sun set.......

hmmmmm ~ what a sight.

Headed back to the car......

stopping along the way to enjoy the river just a bit more.

A most wonderful day together ~

in God's beautiful creation.

And......it is only Sunday of a long weekend!!!!!!!!!

What a nice feeling that is!

I LOVE connecting with Courtney ~

hearing how she is doing as a person....

in the midst of being a wife and mom.

Sooooooooo enjoy time with Bailey and Sawyer ~

having fun, being crazy together....and just looking in each other's eyes.

The hugs and smiles don't hurt either!!!!!

How they love each other ~ Bailey practiced her 5's..... didn't she do a FANTASTIC job! The sheet is in ACTION ~ sorry for it being blurry. :) The skies were stormy........ yet some beautiful blue sky and white fluffy clouds! Yep, loved my day ~ thankful for my days off!!!!!!
