Lifelong Girlfriends

Twenty two years ago we moved to Northern Virginia ~ that in itself is shocking. The neighborhood we moved into was more like a "college campus" than your normal neighborhood. People were always out and about, walking, talking, waving as you drove by. Many of the families were about the same age with school age children. Your life was involved with these people. We were on committees at school together, our kids were on the same sports teams, we spent the summer months at the neighborhood pool and just enjoyed visiting with each other. After all these years, some have moved to other neighborhoods, but we still get together as couples AND we have "girls night out". These friends are precious ~ much more like family than simply friends. We laugh, we cry, we rejoice and sympathize with each other. We gathered together last night to get caught up and oh what a good time we had. Lifelong friends.
