Day at Burke Lake/Day After Tomorrow!

This cute little boy ~

and his grandma (who by the ways loves him a ton!)

headed over to Burke Lake this morning ~

ya'll knew.....Sawyer's stay would not be complete without it!

I wanted to have a quiet day with Sawyer ~ having some FUN!

and I simply enjoyed the time WITH him

We headed over to the carousel ~

Next.....off to the lake......

to feed the ducks!

By the way.....it was a beautiful day out today ~

77 degrees and low humidity. 

Amazing!

home and back to preparations for Sawyer's parents' arrival

Countdown is ON/My Friends are the BEST

How amazing is it........

that after 3 weeks,

Courtney, Pat, Hannah and kiddos

 are due HOME in only 3 days!!!!!!!

The chain above VISUALLY shows us it is SOON! 

Sawyer takes off a link a day and it always wanting to take off the RED one,

with his family's picture on it. 

It will SOON be time to do that!!!!!!!!

Sawyer and I are STILL having fun!!!!!!! 

(of course, Papa too  :)

among other things....he can dribble a ball!!!!!

And.....he's quite the photographer

Sawyer does GREAT running around doing errands too~

THIS morning my dear friend Mary Sue

and her dog (Bailey!!!!  ha ha ...how do you like that!)

came by for a visit.

It is WONDERFUL to be focusing on the ARRIVAL



of our dear ones ~

we can't WAIT to meet Lincoln and Levi

and......of course HUG each and every one of

the TRAVELERS!

THE week has arrived! Yahoo!

There are visual signs that the count down is on.....

for Courtney, Pat and Hannah's return to America.  :)

 Courtney had 21 bags for Sawyer to open.....one each day.....

and NOW there are only 5!!!!!!!!

The chain had 10 links on it at the beginning and now it only has 5!!!!!

There is a new addition to this picture ~ an airplane!

Sawyer and I are talking more about Mom and Dad

in general. He was pretty quiet about them at first....

pondered greatly when they were spoken of.

Now he has a sparkle in his eyes.....

and speaks of them readily! :)

Alden, Sawyer and I went to HIS house on Saturday ~

to do some yard work, water flowers, basically check on things.....

AND to put the kid car seats IN the car .......

for Mommy and Daddy's arrival!

 Sawyer's cousin Ayden came over yesterday to play!

{um, yes, the WHOLE family came  :)  }

An added blessing yesterday ~ we got to skype with Hannah and Courtney!

Hannah surprised us with a call.....their kiddos were in bed for the night

and our little ones were napping after lunch.

Courtney joined in after a while!  So FUN!

 Back to the Saturday trip to Sawyer's house......
Sawyer enjoyed being HOME,
but pondered on his family not being there.....

5 seats in their car.......ready for 6 kids and two parents

to ride home from the airport......

and go HOME!  Woohoo!

Back to Grandma and Papa's for some more fun!

Sunday, after we all went to church,
Phill and Christy and family came over to spend the
rest of the day together.

 the little guys had SO much fun!

 Our family chef did some amazing things for us

 Andrea and I getting the fruit salad ready

We enjoyed being outside ~ it was a pretty day



The skyping caught us up with AFRICA



 The old folks enjoyed it all ~ AND got some rest!

 Nothing better than bath time with cousins

And.....ice cream sundaes to end the night



Alden put a DVD together of a few videos Hannah sent us of

the crew in Africa



 We all enjoyed it, but watching Sawyer take it all in ~

was simply precious.

 Papa ended the evening with "story time"

What a GREAT day spent together....with special people. 

 AND......Sawyer woke up this morning ~

ready for some MORE fun!

Thank you God for THIS week arriving ~

we pray you'll tend to Sawyer these last few days

and bring Courtney, Pat, Hannah,

and 5 kiddos home to the USA!
