President's Day Weekend: Family!

Alden and I knew the long weekend was coming up ~

so we thought of different things we could do with the time.

We decided we wanted to see my sisters

and Louise.

Alden and I headed out Friday afternoon after work ~

to go see some of our favorite people in the world!

My sisters ~ Susan and Kim, Richard, and Heather.

We had such a great time getting caught up ~

and enjoyed some good eating and having fun together.  :)

Alden got to play with Richard's man toy!  :)

Richard and his son Derek built this "car" ~

otherwise known as the "hot rod"!

{aka.....go kart and dune buggy .....heehee!}

I mean really ~ what FUN for these guys!!!!!

We got back on the road around noon Saturday ~

to go see Aunt Louise. 

What a true pleasure to spend time with her.

Unfortunately, she had just had the stomach flu

and wasn't feeling great ~ but we still enjoyed

each other.  :)

Louise is simply a giver ~ of her time to others.

She takes good care of her roommate ~

who is in a wheelchair.

Louise was voted QUEEN for Valentine's Day.

Isn't she precious?!

There was a king and a queen ~

they were voted on by friends and workers.

We weren't surprised she WON!

Alden's brother and wife ~ Ken and Lynne

came for a visit, so we got to enjoy them as well!!!!

Added blessing to our time there.

 While Louise took a nap ~

the rest of us had a lunch date together.  :)

We got on the road late ~

but got to enjoy the snowstorm while making our way home.

Hannah and John came for a visit Monday ~

and Hannah went off on her job interview ~

and yep, GOT THE JOB!
Labor and Delivery this time ~ not ER.

She will begin in early April. 

Congratulations Hannah!

You fulfilled your dream of travelling to

Central and South America ~

and now you have this job for the

next step of your life.  Thankful with you!

Spring is making its way isn't it!

We have been enjoying watching the

daffodils and tulips grow little by little

through the crazy days of "warm and cold".

Yesterday ~ they opened up!!!!!

This morning they are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!
