in the midst

Life is never dull or boring is it? The calm of summer days are interrupted by reality and we appreciate that for sure. The great thing is God is the great "I AM" all the time, no matter what life circumstances are(meaning He is our shepherd, comforter, and guide in good times and bad) AND family is special and we hurt with those who hurt. Three of our families are experiencing some tough days.

1. Cecil and Louise (Alden's uncle and aunt): Cecil has emphyzyma and is presently in the hospital and Louise is staying with him 24-7 to tend to his every need. We went down over the weekend to encourage this precious couple. The smiles on their faces made it worth every minute!
2. Joshua (Courtney and Pat's son) fell off his bike yesterday and hit his mouth on the sidewalk. He had to have both front teeth extracted. He is "fine", but resting with pain medication at home.
3. Andrea (Phill and Christy's younger daughter) has a virus, with fever and headache.
