Brittany's Soccer Game and Deer

We enjoyed going to Brittany's soccer game on Saturday. We had planned to go for a few weeks to this game, but it ended up being good timing, as Phill and Ayden were down with the flu.
Brittany plays goalie and defender. We loved seeing her play!

Proud Papa The field was out away from the city and what a gorgeous drive it was. Notice the gorgeous rolling fields and Fall colors of the trees. Beautiful and peaceful! Brittany's small group leader from her church and her husband also came to the game. Brittany loved having them there and Alden and I lenjoyed meeting them.

..........a wonderful time with our grandaughter. :)
As we were driving home ~ we encountered a deer. Yep, it ran across the highway and hit the front of the car (broken light!). It was quite an experience and we're thankful we only have a broken light. It could have hit Alden's driver's door. We were safe! Brave me, saw it coming, and proceeded to close my eyes. Don't you think that helped alot????? Such a girl reaction. The deer spun around a few times and landed in the medium. We believe he was just stunned.
Today is a gorgeous day outside ~ mid 70's and sunny.
Have a great start to your week. :)

I'm convinced that living in Colorado gives you an innate understanding about how to react when deer run out and get in a fight with your car :-)

Glad you are safe!

I must not have learned too good....."closing my eyes" THEN asking Alden if he was ok....thinking the deer was sitting on his lap. Colorado did give us some practice! :)
