Thank you all who have served our country ~ to give us freedom.
Our family appreciates Alden, Richard, Grandpa Staley (Ray), Roland Brooks (Richard's Dad). Thank you for protecting us ~ for giving us the freedoms we have here in our country.
We salute you.
Today was a special day for Alden. He was honored by Rebekah (grandaughter) and her school. Rebekah had a day of celebration at her school for the veterans. She wrote Alden a wonderful note. We ate lunch with Rebekah at her school and she hand delivered this note to him.
So very special.

She writes: Dear Papa, I love you. Thank you for serving in the military. You were so lucky to be in the military. I like you as a Papa. I love that you were mommy's dad. We are thankful that you help keep our country safe. Love you very much. See you soon. Love, Rebekah
